WHAT ARE THE LEVELS?

B2 FIRST (FORMERLY KNOWN AS FIRST FCE)

A B2 First qualification proves you have the language skills to live and work independently in an English-speaking country or study on courses taught in English.

This exam is the logical step in your language learning journey between B1 Preliminary and C1 Advanced.

THE CERTIFICATE IN ADVANCED ENGLISH (CAE)

affords a high-level (C1) English language qualification to people requiring English for business or study purposes. CAE is also designed to encourage the development of the skills required by students progressing towards CPE (Proficiency). CAE is recognised by more than 4,000 educational institutions, university faculties, businesses and government departments around the world.

THE CERTIFICATE OF PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH (CPE)

demands the highest level (C2) of language competence of the Cambridge series of examinations for non-native-speakers and is recognised by all international academic institutions. It is accepted as meeting the English standard entrance requirement by the majority of British universities.

BUSINESS ENGLISH CERTIFICATE (BEC VANTAGE) CEFR LEVEL B2

Business English Certificate (BEC) Vantage is the second of the three certificates. It is an upper-intermediate level exam covering business-oriented topics. It is appropriate for those presently using English in their occupation and wishing to improve their communication skills.
